  7. COMBAT-ACTION FILMS

  9. ¶1These   film   are  also  built  on  a
  10. standard  story.   The  hero  in these
  11. films  is  terribly tough.  He has got
  12. enough  muscles  to  beat up King Kong
  13. with  his  bare  hands.   He  has been
  14. fighting   for  many  years  with  his
  15. friend  (another  muscle-guy).  But he
  16. has  given  up the fighting, and wants
  17. to settle down and start a family.
  18.  About  3  minutes  in  the  film  the
  19. hero's  earlier boss enters the scene.
  20. He  tells  the hero that his friend is
  21. captured  by some cruel, cruel guys in
  22. the  jungle  in  an  African  or Asian
  23. country.  The boss asks the hero to go
  24. help  him  out  of there, but the hero
  25. rejects   the  offer  the  first  time
  26. (he'll   get   another  chance,  don't
  27. worry).   The boss leaves, but returns
  28. about  12 seconds later, asking again.
  29. This time the hero accepts.  (?!?!).
  30.  He  starts  to  train,  and we get to
  31. hear  the  film's  soundtrack while he
  32. does  plenty  of  meaningless actions.
  33. He prepares his weapons,
  34.  and  travels  to  the  scary  jungle.
  35. When  he  lands  with the plane, he is
  36. met  by his contact (The contact is an
  37. quite  old  man  with a mustache).  Of
  38. course,  this  contact is corrupt.  He
  39. tells  the  enemy  that  the  hero  is
  40. coming.   The  enemy  gets very angry.
  41. The   enemy's   leader   is   also   a
  42. muscle-guy.    The   final  battle  is
  43. between  the  hero and this man.  Then
  44. the  hero  begins his journey into the
  45. jungle.  On the way to the place where
  46. his friend is kept, he kills about ten
  47. guys  with  absolutely  NO problems at
  48. all!   When  he  get  to the place, he
  49. kills  ¶320-30 ¶1guys more, without a grin
  50. in  his face.  Then we reach the final
  51. battle.   The enemys leader begins the
  52. fight  best  (¶3ALWAYS¶1).   But after ten
  53. minutes  of  pure  fighting (Of course
  54. the  fighting  isn't realistic at all)
  55. the  hero  gets  angry  and  kills the
  56. leader  in a terrible way.  Afterwards
  57. the  hero  often  say:   "You deserved
  58. that,   you  mother-  fucker!"  ¶3(¶3wow¶3)¶1.
  59. Then  he  releases  his  friend (which
  60. doesn't  even  say thanks) and travels
  61. back to USA ¶3(¶2it's always USA¶3)¶1, and the
  62. film  is  over,  but the hero is ready
  63. for the sequel...
